There is only one file type that uses the .MXE extension:
Macro Express Playable Macro
Macro or automated script created with Macro Express, a macro editing tool for Windows; can be executed with Macro Express by double-clicking the file or by pressing an assigned keyboard shortcut.
MXE files are similar to .MEX files, but are only meant to be played back and not edited. The MXE format is commonly used for sharing macros with other users.
