3. AGT Game Data File
Game file used by AGiliTy, an Adventure Game Toolkit (AGT) interpreter; contains story data referenced by the AGT game as the player navigates through the story.
To play interactive fiction games, which include AGT games, you must type commands to navigate through a story, similar to a choose-your-own-adventure book.
AGT games are packaged with a large variety of files. Each file contains game data, including .TTL, .INS, .and VOC files. Because of the large number of files that accompany the AGT game, the files can be converted into a single .AGX file with the AGT2AGX utility that comes with AGiliTy. This conversion reduces clutter, load time, and game size.
[name of the game].opt - The OPT file will have the same name as the game it's created for.
