An OSP file is a video editing project file created by OpenShot, an open-source video editor for Linux. It contains references to audio, video, and image files, as well as transitions, effects, and sequencing information. OSP files are used for saving and loading video editing projects and exporting them to one of several supported output video formats.
You can open an OSP file in OpenShot by selecting
from the program's menu bar. Opening the OSP file will load your project and its related media in OpenShot. If you are having trouble opening an OSP file in OpenShot, or you want to examine the text contained within an OSP file, you can also open it using any text editor, such as Microsoft Notepad (Windows), Apple TextEdit (Mac), or GitHub Atom (cross-platform).
