There are 3 file types use the .PBF file extension:
1. Paragon Backup File
Backup archive created by one of Paragon's backup and recovery applications; stores backup files in a proprietary format; can be browsed within the software, which enables users to restore individual files or a whole file system.
In addition to system backups, PBF files are often used for migrating Windows file systems between versions of Windows operating systems.

2. PowerBackup Data File
Backup archive created by CyberLink PowerBackup, a backup and recovery application; stores a collection of backed up files and folders; can be used for full, differential, or incremental backup strategies; used for restoring files through the PowerBackup application.
PowerBackup can create backups on a periodic basis through its job scheduler component, which uses .PBJ job files.

3. Pinnacle Sample Bank
Contains audio samples that can be loaded into Turtle Beach audio software or external synthesizers; references .WAV files that must be stored in the same directory.
