There are 2 file types use the .TRACE file extension:

- Category 3D Image Files

A TRACE file is a 3D object or animation project created in Traces, an early 3D modeling and animation application. It contains data used to render and animate a 3D object. TRACE files cannot be opened in programs other than Traces.
Before creating Blender, developer Ton Roosendaal created an early 3D modeling and animation application for Commodore's Amiga PCs. This application, named Traces, allowed users to render and animate basic 3D objects. Traces saved users' 3D objects and animations in TRACES files.
Unfortunately, Traces TRACE files are currently difficult to open. The only known way to open a TRACE file is by downloading Traces (which is available near the bottom of this webpage) and attempting to install the program on an Amiga emulator. Then, you can open your TRACE file in Traces.
