Parametric brush used by GIMP, a cross-platform image editing program that runs on the X Windows System; contains a shape that can be painted on a canvas; can be resized for drawing with larger or smaller-scale brushes.
Parametric brushes can be created using GIMP's Brush Editor. Several built-in VBR files can be found in the /share/gimp/2.0/brushes/ directory of a GIMP installation.
