Temporary file created by iAntiVirus (iAV), a virus scanning program for Mac OS X; contains files or parts of files that may contain viruses; saved in the /Library/iAntivirus/temp directory by default.
NOTE: Old VBT files should be automatically deleted when iAV starts up. If the files are not automatically deleted, they make take up several gigabytes of space over time. If this happens, the VBT files can be manually deleted to free up disk space.

Temporary file created by Spyware Doctor, a virus, spyware, and threat scanning program; contains sections of files and archives that include possibly malicious code; generated during each virus scan and saved in the C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\avdb\temp\ directory; AVDB stands for AntiVirusDatabase.
NOTE: VBT files may be tagged as virus files by avast! Antivirus software. To prevent errors (false positives), you can exclude the C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\avdb\temp\ directory from being scanned in the avast! Antivirus preferences.
