There are 2 file types use the .VMV file extension:
1. VisualBoyAdvance Recording
Game recording created by VisualBoyAdvance, a Gameboy Advance emulator; saves keystrokes and other information that allows the recording to be played back in the emulator; saved in a proprietary format and cannot be played by standard video players.
NOTE: The VisualBoyAdvance VMV format is not compatible with the VMV format used by VirtuaNES.

2. VirtuaNES Recording
Game recording created by VirtuaNES, an NES emulator; saves a replay of the game as it is played and can be used for watching and sharing recordings; can be converted to the .AVI format by choosing.
NOTE: The "AVI convert(C)" option is only enabled if no ROM is currently loaded in VirtuaNES. Therefore, first close any opened ROM () and then choose the "AVI convert(C)" option.
