There are 3 file types use the .VTX file extension:
1. Anim8or 3D Model
Three-dimension model created with Anim8or, a 3D modeling and animation program; saved in a basic 3D "vertex" format than is recognized by several other 3D design programs; also supported by Game Maker, a game development program.

2. VTX Chiptune File
Chiptune audio file created in a format used by older ZX Spectrum system sound chips; contains data that allows the sound chip to synthesize audio in real-time; often used for storing video game music.
VTX files can still be played back with software emulators that emulate the ZX Spectrum sound chip.

3. Visio Template XML File
Template for creating a new drawing or chart with Visio, a business diagramming program; may be used as a starting point for creating multiple diagrams with a similar layout; much like a Visio .VST file, but saved in an XML format.
