Nuance OmniPage Pro X is a professional document scanning program used to convert print documents into digital files. It was developed for Mac but has been discontinued. However, the Windows versions, OmniPage Standard and the more advanced OmniPage Ultimate, are still available for purchase.

OmniPage Pro X uses optical character recognition (OCR) technology that allows you to turn documents into electronic files you can edit, search, and share. Scanned documents can be converted to a variety of formats, such as PDF, HTML, Microsoft Office, and Corel WordPerfect. The application maintains page layouts and formats of documents and its recognition engine minimizes word errors for accurate conversion. You can even transfer paper spreadsheets and tables into spreadsheet and word processing programs while maintaining text alignment and cell styles.

OmniPage Pro X was a useful program for professional and home OS X users before being discontinued. It could convert physical documents into electronic copies and PDF files into other editable formats. Instead of Nuance OmniPage Pro X, OS X users should look to Adobe Acrobat.
